Islip Forward Announces New Deputy Director

BRENTWOOD, NY — Islip Forward today announced the appointment of Kristen Valle as Deputy Director, marking a new chapter in the organization's continued growth and commitment to community-led advocacy across the Town of Islip.

Valle previously served as Director of Brentwood Votes, where she led efforts to expand voter participation, develop local leaders, and strengthen civic engagement in one of Suffolk County's most diverse communities. As Deputy Director, she will help lead the organization's advocacy, organizing, communications, and strategic initiatives alongside Executive Director Ahmad Perez.

Valle succeeds Joshua Chan, who recently concluded his service as Deputy Director after helping build Islip Forward into one of Long Island's leading grassroots advocacy organizations. During his tenure, Chan played a central role in strengthening the organization's organizing infrastructure, expanding civic engagement efforts, and mentoring emerging community leaders.
