BRING HOME
JOSE AND JOSUE TREJO LOPEZ

In 2016, at the ages of 10 and 11, Jose and Josue arrived in the United States with their mother, seeking refuge from the threats of MS-13 in El Salvador. They settled in Central Islip, attended local schools, and aspired to careers as mechanics. Despite their efforts to legalize their status—including pending applications for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status—they were detained during a routine ICE check-in in March 2025 and deported on May 7, just weeks before Josue's high school graduation.

PROVIDE A LETTER OF SUPPORT

The legal team representing the brothers are now collecting letters of support from members of the public to include in their filings. If you’ve been moved by their story, your letter—no matter how brief—can help demonstrate the overwhelming public concern about their treatment and the urgency of their return.

If you’d like to write a letter, here’s what to include:

  • Why their story moved you.

  • What their case says about our immigration system.

  • Why you support efforts to bring them back.

  • A sentence affirming your belief in justice, compassion, and second chances.

Submit Your Letter of Support

To whom it may concern,

Sincerely,
