The Long Island ICE Tracker, a groundbreaking community-led digital tool that helps residents stay informed about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity, has officially surpassed 180,000 uses, marking a historic milestone in grassroots immigrant protection and public safety.
Launched by Islip Forward in 2025, the ICE Tracker empowers Long Islanders to verify sightings of ICE activity in real time, providing rapid alerts that have allowed thousands of immigrant families to make informed decisions to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
With more than 180,000 interactions to date, the Tracker has become one of the most widely used community defense tools in the region.
“In a time when our communities are often left in the dark about immigration enforcement operations, the ICE Tracker gives people the tools they need to act quickly, stay safe, and stand together,”
Ahmad Perez, Founder and Executive Director of Islip Forward
The platform has been used by educators, faith leaders, and community organizers to share accurate information, counter misinformation, and mobilize support during moments of heightened fear and uncertainty.
As the tool continues to expand, organizers are calling on Long Island residents to stay engaged by submitting verified reports, sharing alerts, and joining ongoing efforts to build stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities.
