NO ICE IN ISLIP
Recently, it was revealed that the Town of Islip entered into a federal contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) agents to use the town-owned shooting range for training purposes.

This agreement was made without public input and uses local taxpayer resources to support agencies whose operations have long targeted immigrant communities.
For years, ICE has conducted raids, detentions, and deportations—often separating families and instilling fear among residents with no criminal history.
